Our Mission

WHO WE ARE

Created in 1973, the Bucks County Drug & Alcohol Commission, Inc. (BCDAC) serves as the Single County Authority (SCA) for alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention, intervention and treatment and recovery support services. The County of Bucks has an ongoing contract in place with BCDAC, so designating this authority to BCDAC, Inc. 

Our agency has a governing Board of Directors appointed by the County Commissioners, and reports to the Bucks County Division of Housing and Human Services while serving on the Human Service Director Team. BCDAC, Inc. subcontracts with various community-based licensed agencies to provide prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery support services for the residents of Bucks County.


OUR MISSION

The mission of BCDAC, Inc. is to promote healthy individuals, families and communities, eliminate the misuse, abuse and/or addiction to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs and support those in recovery from addiction.

As the state and locally designated SCA for alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, our agency will ensure the provision of a comprehensive and balanced continuum of quality prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery services for Bucks County.
