Created in 1973, the Bucks County Drug & Alcohol Commission, Inc. serves as the Single County Authority (SCA) for alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention, intervention and treatment and recovery support services. BCDAC, Inc. subcontracts with various community-based licensed agencies to provide prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery support services for the residents of Bucks County.

Bucks Coalition Against Trafficking (BCAT) - Established in 2013, Bucks Coalition Against Trafficking (BCAT) is a NOVA project whose mission is to eradicate human trafficking in Bucks County through victim identification, community education, enhancement of arrests and prosecution of traffickers, legislative advocacy, and a coordinated response of survivor services. Bucks County Department of Behavioral Health/Developmental Programs is responsible for the administration of services to Bucks County residents who are diagnosed with mental illness, substance use disorder, intellectual disability or developmental delay/disability, and their families.  The purpose of these services is to help individuals live in the community and participate in community life. The Council of Southeast Pennsylvania, Inc. is a private non-profit prevention, education, advocacy, assessment, intervention, and recovery support organization, serving the counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia. The Council provides a wide range of services to reduce the impact of addiction and improve health related health issues for the entire community including families, schools, businesses, individuals, and the community, regardless of ability to pay, ethnicity, race, gender, age, or sexual orientation. Family Service Association of Bucks County (FSA) is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit and is a member of United Way of Bucks County and Social Current and is fully accredited by the Council on Accreditation. FSA is licensed by the State of Pennsylvania to provide mental health assessment and treatment services as well as drug and alcohol assessment and treatment services. FSA is a Center of Excellence, operates two call centers, twenty school-based sites, and two additional locations including the Emergency Homeless Shelter and the Teen Center. Gaudenzia, Inc. is one of the largest nonprofit drug and alcohol treatment and recovery centers in the United States, with 51 facilities operating in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, D.C. The agency serves about 19,000 individuals annually and operates 117 drug and alcohol treatment programs for men and women. Synchronicity Recovery Foundation – Recovery from substance use is much more than relapse prevention.
