BCDAC, Inc. will provide priority access to services and treatment through BCARES to those individuals who have experienced an overdose, which is defined as a situation in which an individual is in a state requiring emergency medical intervention as a result of the use of drugs or alcohol. A direct transfer from the Emergency Department or other hospital unit to drug and alcohol treatment for these individuals is the primary goal.
