The H.E.A.R.T. (Healing, Empowering And Recovering Together) Recovery Program, established in 2018, is a female-dedicated program within the Bucks County Department of Corrections’ Women’s Correctional Facility. Like the H.O.P.E. Program, H.E.A.R.T. participants receive intensive substance abuse education and cognitive behavioral interventions that encourage sustained recovery. In addition to Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), complimentary groups and curriculum focus on trauma, stages of change, relapse prevention, and criminal and addictive thinking.
