Preventing Prescription and Opioid Drug Misuse: District Attorney Matthew Weintraub
District Attorney Weintraub’s outstanding leadership and dedication to the Bucks County Medication Take Back and Disposal Program has led to the collection of 127,252 pounds of unused, unneeded or expired medication in since 2010. 

Preventing Underage Drinking and Alcohol Misuse: Debbie Moskovitz, Director of Council Rock Coalition for Healthy Youth (CRCHY)
For the past 10 years, CRCHY has been educating caregivers of Council Rock graduates about the ‘Parents Who Host Lose the Most: Don’t Be a Party to Teenage Drinking’ program. This program focuses on the health and safety risks of providing alcohol to teenagers, and increases awareness of and compliance with underage drinking laws. 

Preventing Illicit Drug Use and Youth Marijuana Use: Martha Miller, Program Developer and Damita Harvey, Prevention Manager - No Longer Bound Prevention and Training Services
No Longer Bound Prevention and Training Services has been making a difference in their community for over 20 years by providing after-school programming for youth, resources for community members and much more. 

Preventing Youth Tobacco Use: Melanie Swanson, Certified Prevention Specialist at The Council of Southeast Pennsylvania, Inc.
Melanie has worked with several municipalities in Bucks County to adopt the Young Lungs at Play program, which provides smoke-free parks, playgrounds and recreational areas for youth. Melanie also educates the community about the dangers in the rising use of e-cigarettes and vaping. 

Preventing Suicide: Wendy Flanigan, Bucks County Department of Mental Health/Developmental Programs
Wendy has been a tri-chair for the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force for six years. The Task Force’s biggest event, the #HoldOnYouMatter Walk, had its largest turnout to date in April 2019 with close to 700 participants. In addition, almost $55,000 was raised for #HoldOnYouMatter, which supports the Task Force’s efforts to reduce stigma, increase the number of individuals seeking help, support individuals who have lost loved ones to suicide and decrease suicide in Bucks County. 

Preventing Overdose: Dr. Bonnie Milas, University of Pennsylvania and Rodney Millspaugh, CMR CPR Pennsylvania
Dr. Milas and Rodney have partnered with BCDAC, Inc. to provide education to community members about responding to a medical emergency after Narcan has been administered. Their knowledge, expertise and hands-on training is helping to educate and empower community members to save lives.
